Only Fine Tuning and Debugging Remain for Final Fantasy Type-0

Final Fantasy Type-0 seems to be nearing its completion, as in a blog post made today director Hajime Tabata says that all that remains for the game is tuning and debugging. He reflected a bit on the game’s lengthy development. It has been almost 3 and a half years since the game made the leap onto PSP from its prior home on the cell phone. While this may feel like a long time, for about a year of this The 3rd Birthday was the main project. Because of this lengthy development the game has been able to be polished and filled with content.


Type-0 will see a landmark at an Odaiba demo event, with the game making it’s playable debut. The control chart for the demo was revealed earlier, showing some of the basics for gameplay. The demo will be limited to around 15 minutes depending on the crowds. To allow players to experience the most they can of the game, the staff have prepared a special “Natsubi” version. This special version allows you to take on missions straight from your room, which will serve as your base of operations. The special version also keeps the difficulty low.

You will have access to seven of the characters: Queen, Rem, Ace, Nine, Machina, King, and Scythe. In place of the actual multiplayer, where you’d have other players coming into your battle to support you, the demo will use the “fake” multiplayer system in which you are supported by other students in your school.
