During their Computer Entertainment Developers Conference (CEDEC) this year, Square-Enix presented some new Final Fantasy XIII-2 footage. The footage features some scrapped Final Fantasy XIII storyboard and shows off Lightning and Odin. The scrapped storyboard was done by Yoshinori Katada, who passed away at the age of 57 two years ago. The main appeal of the clip shows what he designed, but had been scrapped for the original game and is being brought back for the sequel: Lightning holding Odin. Final Fantasy XIII-2’s director personally liked the storyboard, but sadly it didn’t make the final cut for XIII. The scene is similar to what Katada had designed, as showed in the clip below.
